Ian : A nice young man took us for a tour of the hills behind Paisley (just to the west of Glasgow) amongst the autumn colors and then through the town centre.

Michael: As you probably all know, the Paisley pattern as we now know it originates here in Paisley, but I only just realised that it has it's origins over 2000 years ago in Indo-European culture and still survives in India.

Robert - our gentleman guide. He's the one on the right.

Paisley Abbey (founded 1163)
Michael: We didn't get a chance to see inside the Abbey as it was closed (on a SUNDAY!). We will have to go again another time. However, Ian managed to capture this intriguing photos of the well preserved 12th century cloisters

* We've just come back from seeing a new little British film, 'Scenes of a sexual nature' with a whole buch of great talent - one of those films where it swaps between the goings on of 7 or 8 couples with various conversations, all within London's Hampstead Heath. (We must visit there next time we're in London) It has Ewan McGregor in it, so of course, I was champing at the bit to see it !

and as they say ... And now for something completely different !

we were in this cafe, looking out and just couldn't resist !

Keep those cards letters and comments coming in !

Ahhhh! I want to come back!
Whilst the wet had begun on my last day in Glasgow, I really missed the autumnal colours.
It took a week to get used to the sun still shining here at 5 p.m. when I returned...
Hope you're both well

Hi Dennis, thanks for the comment. We're well - and it's definitely autumn here, with a lot of colour and dead leaves. A fantastic time of year. Ian will post some more pics soon.
