Ian : Day trip to North Berwick - just to the right of Edinburgh. East coast village with the Scottish seabird centre and a few islands just off the coast teaming with birdlife !

and a familiar place name ...

I've been walking around our neighbourhood and noticed the WestGAP office.
( West Glasgow Against Poverty )
They provide advice and resources for people in poverty. This group came out of the efforts of local residents and has been operating for 9 years now, which I think is pretty good for a collective-run organisation. And they're a lovely bunch of people !
I've started volunteering (unpaid work, as they like to put it) and part of it is going through all the donated computers they have taking up space and sorting out what works and what can be moved on to be recycled.

Because the west end of Glasgow is seen as a fairly affluent area with the gentrification effects of the Glasgow Harbour apartments, City Council and others need to be reminded about the people on low incomes or in poverty.

We have a little bit of flowering bulb activity on our window sill at the moment !

Maybe it's spring!
