Just a few bits and pieces of recent news

Ian : I finally got around to using the quilt fabric i'd been holding on to for a few years.
I made it into a doona (duvet) for the guest sofa-bed and has been appreciated by a few guests already.

We grew a tomato plant in the living room over summer and got about 15 little (but delicious!) tomatoes.


My sweetheart got me flowers for my 'getting even older' anniversary - bless !

This is 'The Barras' market in the east of the city centre -
we've heard stories of sellers quickly snapping up all their goods and
hoofing it when a copper materialises. all very dodgy !

Our friend J from San Francisco recently visited...

We took him to a cafe where they're doing their bit for the drinking problem in Scotland.

and to Stirling to see the castle, but no, we didn't partake of the 'Aussie Tucker'


We did a trip to the lovely island of Arran (Scotland in minature) but have to go back sometime and hire a car to see it all properly.
The local bus service is just not frequent enough.
